Cooking
and
collecting recipe books
are
two of my many joys in life, and many of the recipes on this site
are personal favorites. Most of them are just simple
"down-home" comfort foods (akin to "soul food")
.... the kind I grew up with--and the kind I most love to cook.
Together, they comprise a 35-year collection that came from my
family, friends, magazines, recipe books, and other recipe websites.
Most reflect my southern heritage--and all of them have a
"southern heart."
