Fresh Peach Crisp

Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup (1 stick) cold butter, cut into pieces
4 cups peeled pitted and sliced sliced peaches fresh
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp. water
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a medium size baking dish and set aside
In a medium size mixing bowl, combine the flour, two sugars, salt, cinnamon, and butter and work themixture together with your fingers till it resembles coarse meal.
In another medium size bowl, combine the peaches, lemon juice, and water, stir till well blended and spoon the mixture into prepared dish.
Sprinkle the flour mixture over the peaches, coverwith a sheet of aluminum foil, and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking till the top is golden and crisp, another 35 to 45 minutes.
Serve the crisp warm or at room temperature.
Note: Serve with lots of vanilla or rum raisin ice cream!
