INGREDIENTS

lbs. ground beef

cup onion, finely chopped

celery ribs, finely chopped

cup red bell pepper, finely chopped

cups canned crushed tomatoes

cup ketchup

Tbsp. brown sugar

Tbsp. cider vinegar
1
Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Tbsp. Heinz '57 Steak Sauce

Tbsp. flour
1
tsp. salt
1/2
tsp. garlic salt
1/4
tsp. ground mustard
1/4
tsp. paprika
DIRECTIONS
In
a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook beef, onion, celery and red
pepper until the meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are
tender. Drain.
Add
the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Simmer,
uncovered, for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Spoon
1/2 cup meat mixture onto each bun.
NOTE:
I butter the buns and lightly brown them under the broiler before
spooning mixture on them.
YIELD:
8-10 servings
