Steak Fingers

Ingredients
3/4 pound flank steak
1 cup flour
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Oil for frying
Salsa, room temperature
1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
Cut the steak (across the grain) into 1/3-inch thick strips.
Preheat the oil to 325.
Mix together the flour, salt and pepper, and garlic powder. Dip the beef strips first in the flour, then in water, and finally back into the flour.
Add to the oil and cook until crispy (about 2 to 3 minutes). Drain on paper towels. Serve warm (sprinkled with cheese) with a side of salsa.
Serve these beef snacks for a change of pace from chicken fingers.
Serves 2-3
